We attended 2025 ICAMD held in BEXCO, Busan. It was a valuable opportunity to broaden perspective by attending presentations on a wide range of topics that we do not usually encounter, and engage in conversations with researchers from around the world. We actively asked questions, exchanged ideas, and met diverse people, making a truly meaningful experience. We would like to sincerely thank our professor for always providing us with such great opportunities !!
We attended 2025 KMS Winter Conference held in Busan. Youngseon Soon, Do Kyeong Nam, and San Ko gave an oral presentation and Geon-Woo Baek, Seyeob Jeong, and Yubin Ji presented poster! We had a joyful and rewarding experience eating a lot of delicious foods of Busan and communicating with other laboratorys about various topics. Congratulations to Geon-Woo Baek on receiving the Best Poster Presentation Award, and to Seyeop Jeong, the raffle winner!!!ππ

The program begin with our professor's lecture on "How to Give a Good Presentation" and continued with excellent talks on magnetism. It was a truly valuable opportunity to learn and engage with members of the magnetics community!
We held a farewell party for Dr. Moojune Song and Dr. Mujin You. We are always grateful for all of your support, and we wish the very best in Dr. Son's new life in the United States and Dr. You in Germany. No matter where you are, USDL is always one!! π€©
Dr. Young-Gwan Choi from the Max Planck Institute in Dresden, Germany, visited KAIST and gave a seminar on "Quantum sensing with NV centers". After the talk, our students presented their reserach results, followed by a meaningful discussion over dinner. We sincereley thank Dr. Choi for his visit and look forward to the possibility of exciting collaborations in the future.

We attended 2025 Korea Magnetics Society Summer Conference held in Jeju island! Our professor delivered the keynote session on the topic "Spintronics Meets Quantum", and Dr. Moojune Song and San Ko gave oral presentations. For the poster session, San Ko, Youngseon Soon, and Do Kyeong Nam participated as presenters!
To celebrate Teacherβs Day, we presented our professor with a rolling paper filled with messages of gratitude from students, along with flowers and a cake. We are truly thankful for the professorβs constant trust and support. We love you, professor!
Our professor and Yubin Ji attended IcAUMS 2025 held in Okinawa, Japan. We shared recent results with researchers in magnetism from Japan and other countries, and had a great time exchanging ideas and insights!
On a beautiful spring day when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, we held the USDL Strawberry Party! We had a joyful time eating delicious strawberries and pizza, sharing stories and listening to our professor's amazing guitar perfomance. May this warm memory bring strength to USDL members in their research journey.π
San Ko participated in SPIN & ORBIT (SPEAR Conference on Spin-Orbitronics & 3rd Orbitronics Workshop) held in San Sebastian, Spain as a poster presenter. It was a great opportunity to interact with leading researchers from around the world in the field of orbitronics!
Dr. Albert Min Gyu Park and Dr. Moojune Song attended 2025 APS Joint March meeting and April meeting held in Anaheim, CA, USA, as an oral presenter. It was a valuable opportunity to attend presentations on a wide range of current research topics in the American physics community and to exchange ideas.
